Installation & Technical Guide for Concealed Shower Systems

Installing concealed shower valves requires precision to ensure lifelong leak-proof performance and smooth daily operation. This guide provides step-by-step instructions and technical recommendations for licensed plumbers, contractors, and project installers.

1. Pre-Installation Essentials & Pipeline Flushing

Before commencing any wall excavation or piping work, please ensure the following prep steps are completed:

Flush the Water Supply Lines (Crucial): Thoroughly flush all hot and cold supply pipes to clear sand, debris, scale, or soldering residue. Failure to flush lines can clog thermostatic and push-button cartridges, causing temperature drift or flow restriction.

Inspect Water Pressure: Verify that hot and cold supply lines maintain balanced water pressure (Recommended operating pressure: 0.2 MPa – 0.5 MPa / 2–5 bar).

Verify Piping Orientation: Ensure standard piping alignment — Hot water supply on the left, Cold water supply on the right.

2. Rough-in Box & Valve Body Wall Installation

Our concealed shower systems feature a heavy-duty solid brass body housing inside a standardized split rough-in box to simplify installation and protect components during construction.

Calculate Mounting & Wall Depth:

Determine the finished wall thickness (including cement, waterproofing layer, and tiles).

Refer to the engraved min/max depth indicators on the rough-in box shroud to set the exact mounting depth.

Secure the Rough-in Box:

Mount the rough-in box level onto the solid wall framing using mounting screws.

Connect hot/cold inlet pipes and outlet lines to the designated shower ports using thread sealant (PTFE tape or thread sealant paste).

Perform Air & Water Pressure Testing:

Before tiling or sealing the wall, conduct a pressure test (1.0–1.6 MPa for 30 minutes) to verify 100% leak-proof integrity across all connections.

3. Post-Tiling & Trim Plate Assembly

Once wall tiling, grouting, and waterproofing are fully cured:

Trim the Protective Box Shroud: Cut off the protruding plastic protective shroud flush with the finished tile surface.

Install Thermostatic & Diverter Trim: Insert the Neoperl® push-button diverters and Vernet® thermostatic control handles. Ensure keyway alignment.

Mount Stainless Steel Faceplate & Seals: Apply rubber sealing gaskets, press the faceplate firmly against the tile wall, and secure decorative handles.

4. Maintenance & Cartridge Replacement

One major advantage of our split rough-in box design is 100% front-access maintenance without breaking tiles:

Filter Screen Cleaning: Shut off water supply at the valve body check valves, unscrew the thermostatic cartridge, and rinse the stainless steel mesh filters under running water if mineral scale occurs.

Cartridge Replacement: Thermostatic and push-button cartridges can be swapped from the front of the wall within minutes using a standard wrench.
